MyVoiceNote Privacy Policy

MyVoiceNote turns what you say into text notes. Speech is converted to text on your iPhone, and only the text is kept. No account is required. The app has no networking, so every feature works without an internet connection.

Personal information we collect

None. This app collects no personal information whatsoever. It does not obtain your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, photos, or any other personal data. It never asks you to create an account or sign in.

What is stored on your device

The following is stored only on your iPhone. No one, including the developer, can see it.

• Your notes: the text, when each note was created and last updated, how many seconds you spoke, and the speech language used.
• The speech language you selected (Japanese or English).

Audio is never stored. The app does not create any audio files. You can delete a note from the list (swipe) or from the note screen.

How the app uses the microphone and speech recognition

• Speech Recognition and Microphone access are requested when you tap the microphone button for the first time.
• The microphone is used only while the recording screen is open. Recording stops when you tap Done or Discard, after 5 minutes, or when the app goes to the background.
• Speech is converted to text with Apple's speech recognition in on-device mode only. The app requires on-device recognition and does not fall back to server-based recognition, so your speech is not sent off your iPhone. If on-device recognition is not available for the selected language, the app does not record.
• The audio is used only to produce the text and is discarded right away. Only the resulting text is saved as a note.
• You can change access at any time in Settings > MyVoiceNote.

Data transmission and tracking

• No data, including audio and notes, is transmitted to external servers.
• Note text leaves the app only when you choose to copy it or share it through the iOS share sheet.
• The app does not use analytics or tracking technologies.
• The app does not use iCloud sync.
• Deleting the app removes all data it has stored on the device.
